Krista & Dave

November 15, 2008

Often times I reminisce about how I really got into wedding photography. I think my interest was sparked when my cousin shot my engagement photos. Not really realizing what we were doing my wife Dianna and I were totally blown away by these totally amazing photos. Long story short, on my journey to becoming a wedding photographer I met a guy I will never forget, Johnny Phayakoun. Johnny pretty much opened the doors for me and things just took off from there.
So when Johnny asked me to assist him on Krista & Dave's big day, I was honored. Krista and Dave were such a cool couple. Although their ceremony was met with a few dark clouds, the day could not have turned out better. Much mahaloz to Krista & Dave for being such troopers on their wedding day, and a HUGE MAHALOZ to Johnny for giving me that nudge in the right direction.

Lauren & Kwang

October 18, 2008
San Francisco California

I have been to San Francisco many times before but this time was truly special. I felt so lucky when Lauren and Kwang asked me to photograph their wedding day. The day couldn't have been more perfect for a wedding, clear skies, the sun was out and the air was crisp. Their ceremony was held at a beautiful little church called Lincoln Park Presbyterian. I just wanna thank Lauren and Kwang for being such a cooperative couple and an even bigger thanks for being such AWESOME hosts. Your wedding was beautiful and I'll always think of you guys now when I visit the city by the bay.

Oh! 1 more thing, the music to their slide show is dedicated to Lauren....SF's #1 Kdrama fan...lol!!

Toru Murakami

I just wanted to share a few portraits I shot at a recent wedding I did with my friend, Hiko Arasaki. I always thought it was cool that people are able to express their moods and feelings through simple facial expressions. What I love is capturing those expressions , freezing that moment in time through a photo.

Sharon & Bradley

August 29, 2008
Hilton Hawaiian Village
Honolulu, Hawaii

People often times ask me why I like to shoot weddings and why not something like hot girls and fast cars? I thought about this and what I love about shooting weddings is that I am given the opportunity to capture real emotions and unforgettable moments that will last a lifetime. That I believe, is something very special and rewarding.

Sharon Bradley and I had a rendezvous at the beach just a few days before their big day and what an awesome day that was. Their ceremony was at the Crystal Chapel on the grounds of the Hilton Hawaiian Village. Their ceremony was touching and ..... I admit it.......was a tear jerker...lol.

Thank you Sharon and Bradley for allowing me to capture your special day, I wish the both of you all the best as you start your new lives together.

Emiko & Eric

The day could not be more amazing for Emiko and Eric. The weather was perfect for an outdoor wedding and with everything going their way, Emiko and Eric had spectacular ceremony filled with laughter with the occasional teary eyed moments. Their reception party wasn't to big but there's one thing I knowtice about small receptions. Small receptions tend to be more intimate. I could really feel how close they were to their families and thats something very special.

Emiko & Eric, Thank you so much for including me in your special day.

...one more thing, props go out to my friend and one of Erics groomsman for the awesome wedding invite. It seriously ROCKS!! man.
